Best NF4 Ultra mobo for OCing?

Just wondering which of the NF4 Ultra(non-SLI) mobos have been getting good reviews by users. My Chaintech VNF4 seems a bit flaky and am considering a change. Thanks.

have you updated the bios on the VNF4/Ultra yet? Cause the newer bioses are great at OCing. I have mine at 283MHz right now, with no issues. I think it can probably go higher if i overvolt my CPU a bit more. I think there might be a wide variability, though, cause some reviews say it can hit over 300MHz, while others say it tops out around 230.

Other than that, though, the DFI seems to be the way to go. Most people seem to be able to hit over 300MHz pretty reliably.

I have the same bios as you and thought I had a solid OC at 9 X 270 but I've been having trouble booting into windows the last couple of days and had to lower to 255. The system also seemed "stuck" because I would be working fine in windows and suddenly, the programs wouldn't initiate. Temps are good and the voltages were unchanged so I think its the mobo unless something is wrong with the cpu.

BTW, the DFI mobo looks good but I need 3 PCI slots and only 1 PCI-E slot so that kinda leaves it out.

Aren't PCI-E slots backward-compatible with PCI?

EDIT: If not, then the MSI neo4 Ultra is also a good choice.

Nope, PCI slots aren't backward compatible. so if you already have 2 PCI component you may want a board with 3 slots.
