One of the my top recommendations is the DFI Infinity Ultra board, has SoundStorm,SATA Raid etc... and also designed for overclocking,I can vouch for solid stability on mine.

I let somebody else recommend the Abit and Shuttle models ;).

Are there any good NF2 Ultra boards out there with lots of IDE channels? Like the Gigabyte 7N400 Pro 2? I'm thinking about getting that one.

high fsb = dfi infinity/lanparty
high clockspeed = abit nf7-s

better bios support = abit nf7-s

dfi bios support sucks... and their support forum sucks even more...

i refuse to buy another dfi board even the dfi nf4 board...

I'm expecting the MSI K7N2 DELTA2-LSR to arrive from NewEgg next Monday. I considered the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra, but went with the MSI as it has SATA Raid for about $5.00 more. This will be paired with the 2500+ mobile and should overclock pretty good. This will eventually be my sons computer.

Hmmm funny how I`ve only updated my BIOS last month to the new latest "NOV 04" version, before then I`ve flashed my BIOS about 3 times with newer versions,so BIOS updates don`t suck with DFI and are updated quite often when needed, remember you can argue if a BIOS update comes out every month then there must be lots of bugs in the previous versions, on the other hand no BIOS update could mean perfect BIOS or bad support,it`s how you look at it.

The Gigabyte is not a bad board and if it has the features you need then go for it,IDE wise between boards well it depends on how many you need, and you don`t say your exact requirements.
