I am currently with newsgroupdirect.com but am wondering if there are any other better/more recommended servers you guys can suggest?

Depends on your needs and your budget. If your ISP server is fairly decent and you just need a premium server as a backup someplace like Astraweb is perfect as you can buy download quotas that never expire. I bought 25GB for $10 over a year ago and have only used a small chunk of it. At the rate I need fills for my ISP server that 25GB might last 5 years.

I like easynews. $9.95/month for 20GB, and unused gigs roll over from month to month. It also has a really good web interface and global search engine. All you have to do is search for stuff, mark the checkbox next to what you want of the returned results, and click a button to have it added to your queue. If you select multiple files it will automatically pack them into a zip file to make it a single download. A new window pops up showing you what's in your queue, and then gives you a link to download the packed files. I can always max out my connection on there too. Retention seems te be about 1.5 - 2 months.
