Isn't Ford stlil doing 0% interest for 72 months? Cannot get much better than a free loan.

Not quite a Mustang fan, but duly noted :)

With the way the auto industry is right now, I would not be suprised. October is usually a banner month for manufacturing because of the prep for the next model year, but everyone has cut production, even Toyota and Honda. It's not a good omen that they are letting factories go idle.

BTW, now is the time to get an 06. Ford has something like $9,000 in rebates on the Lincoln LS.

I'm trying to see what rates are out there in general, but I really have my heart set on a GTO. Problem is they're discontinued after 06 and while there are a ton left (never sold well), I'm anxious about GM offering 0%. I would really dislike paying 4.9% 60 months, which is the lowest confirmed number I've seen yet.

I think GM is only focusing on trucks right now, at least with 0%.

I tried to convince Lola that we need a GTO but she won't budge :(

It looks that way. With my luck they won't do 0% and I will be stuck with a terrible decision. I've always wanted a "new" car, something un-fooled with, has a warranty, and that new car smell. But goddamn if I hate paying too much for things, and 4.9% interest sounds like too damn much to me.

4.9 isn't that bad for a non-incentive situation. that's better than most credit unions. if you can't deal with that and you have to finance for 5 years, maybe you need to admit that you don't actually have enough money to purchase this vehicle.
