Best new car under around 10K???

I'm looking for a new car and will have about 10K give or take to spend.

Going to do a 5 year loan so I'm really looking for a car to last five years anything else is gravy.

Any suggestions or expereinces?

You're not going to find too much outside of a Kia Rio. Kia's website. They do have an astonishingly long warranty.

I say save up, and buy a Scion xA. It has the most standard options than and new car at it's price, plus it has toyota reliability. They start off around 12k.

Problem for me is I live in Columbus, got a new job in Cincinnati, and will be making the comute 2 times a week until my wife can make it down to Columbus at the end of the school year (she is a teacher).

12K is actually in my range I should get about 2k from my trade.

is the warranty transferrable??

I heard some car warranty doesnt transfer when the car is sold... is it kia or somethin else?
