I have a desktop and I just bought a laptop, which I haven't gotten yet. When it shows up what is the best way to network them? Can I get a network card that will let me surf the web with both computers at the same time? Are the wireless network things any good? Sorry for the dumb questions but this is my first network. Thanks.
 
Just buy a cross-over cable and use modem sharing in Win98se for internet access.

No need for a hub for only two computers.
