Best Netmeeting alternative?

Netmeeting will not work when one computer is behind a firewall because the ports is uses are randomly assigned ones between 1024 and 64 and 65336 (or something like that). Basically, impossible to forward ports with.

What other programs are you guys using for video conferencing?

Note that it's not exactly NetMeeting that can't do firewalls...it's Intel's H.323 protocol, which as you pointed out dynamically assigns UDP ports for A/V. NetMeeting still connects and works fine, but you're limited to data-only (security, app sharing, DTS, whiteboard and chat)

H.323 was extensively licensed out and is used by most videoconferencing apps, primarily so that a person using NetMeeting can videoconference with a person using CUSeeMe or Timbuktu.

However, the landscape has changed a bit lately, and I haven't kept up very well. But I haven't heard of any new protocols being used for A/V by anyone...
