Best NB cooler with the same footprint as stock one? (oops, wrong forum. mod please move?

I'm in the market for a new cooler for my northbridge just for the sake of good cooling all the way around. Anyway, what's the best one I could get that is the same exact size (width wise) as the stock one? The reason for this is my MCX 4000 is about as snug as you can get against the stock one.

Also, I was planing on slaping a 40mm fan on top of it. Is that a reasonable idea or do you think my tornado is pushing enough air onto it anyway since it's so close that a 40mm fan wouldn't show much improvement. Ideas? Thanks.
 
feel the air, is tornado blwoing air onto it at all?

if so, maybe just pull off hte heatsink, take off the thermal pad goo and apply some as2/as3
(if you didnt do so already)
it will ehlp the heat disipation
