I like them all in the following order:
1. Popeye's
2. Church's
3. KFC

The only problem is, normally have to eat KFC, since getting Popeye's or Church's requires a drive to the ghetto, from where I live.
Why is the best Chicken in the ghetto around here? Well, maybe not quite the ghetto, but not a good place to be at night.

mason and i10 isn't exaclty the ghetto...

Its not national(108 stores spread across mostly TX, but also in OK and Georgia) but most in Texas will concur.

The best fried chicken place is Chicken Express.

Now people in Austin and Houston might not have heard or been to one since there arent any in either place yet. Also not all Chicken E's are created equal, but most are top notch.

I vary between Popeyes and Churches. When Churches is fresh, it's tough to beat, but Popeyes owns with the sides.

KFC is garbage, as is Chik Fil A.

Popyees sides
rice
red beans and rice
mashed potatoes
cole slaw
corn on the cob
fries

Chicken Express side
fries
okra
corn nuggets <--------> these rock
jalapeno poppers <--------> these rock
cheese sticks
cole slaw
corn on the cob
mash potatoes

Chicken E by a landslide.

Almost all chicken places use the same chicken supplier(atleast in TX).

I will say most are using hormone enhanced birds, because some of the chicken pieces you get these days are HUGE.

The last two times and it's going to be my last, that I ate at Popeye's the chicken was way too small. They were like Ethiopian chicken or something. The skin was way too hard and crusty too like they've been under the lamp all day. Church's is pretty darn good around my area though.

If chicken is under the heat lamp all day it wont be hard and crusty, it will be soft/mushy and oily.
