Best NAS solution for accessing spare hds

I currently have a lot of 3.5inch hard drives with data on them that i wish to access via my network so that both my desktops and laptops can read them. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be the best solution ?

Some of the ideas i had in mind was getting a seagate goflex drive with the network adapter (which has a usb port where u can attach an additional external usb hd), or getting a pogoplug.

If you have an old PC with room in the case for those disks, take a look at Windows Home Server software. It'll accomodate virtually ANY combination of disks, with redundancy if you wish. It's designed for "computer-illiterate" families to use, so it's pretty easy.

Word to the wise, enable duplication BEFORE you put data on the drives.
I didn't and enabled it on 1.5TB of stuff and it took 4 days to duplicate it all. Not a terribly effienct process after the fact it seems.
I had set it to duplicate one night, the next day I tried to access the machine and it was dog slow. I thought the computer had died. I let it run because I didn't have time to screw with it. 4 days later I tried logging in and saw that the duplication process had just finished and it was running as it should.
