Been looking for a wireless access point. I have the Linksys WRT54GS router and had come across the Linksys WAP54G WAP. It seems to get good reviews, but I'm just concerned with buying a 3-4 year old device and G WAP.

I was reading on some of the N stuff and they all, linksys and other brands, just don't get good reviews. Is there any N WAP that is worthwhile?

Thanks!

Yes. Basically all draft-n gear is a sham. There is no 802.11n yet and nothing is guaranteed to be compatible (and it can't be).

If this goes the way of other network standards, any and all products bought before a real standard is out will NOT be compatible.

Ok, thanks. I guess the marketing guys are making it seem like N, but it is, infact not.

I'll stick with G for now. Thanks guys.
