best music mixing program

Hello all,

I'm looking to do some music mixing, and I'm wondering what the best software is these days. I've used ACID and it was kind of what I wanted, but not everything. Basically I just want to mix some songs together to make cool mixes. So what's everyone using, and what do you reccomend. Thanks!

Dan

well...If you got about $50,000 laying around, You can get Pro-Tools and a mac and have a professional studio at your disposal. 😉

Oh yeah, definitely. Actually, I have about 300,000 just sitting here, what do you think I should get 😉

OK, how about a little less expensive?

MixMeister is probably the best out there without getting into the professional grade stuff. Check it out, I think it will probably do exactly what you need and you'll be able to do basic mixes within a few minutes. The more advanced stuff (say a back and forth mix of two songs with a third providing bass line) will take a bit longer, but not much.

It will automate a simple crossfade with beatmatch (that you can edit) if you're in a real hurry.
