Is there anything (other than iTunes) that does this well? Here are my requirements:

Put a cd in.
It gets the CDDB info.
Downloads the Album art
Rips to a specified location (Say C:\my_music\<artist>\<album>\xx-trackname.mp3
eject cd when done.

I've looked at CDEX and EAC which everyone seems to recommend, but it doesn't seem that either of them support album art, even though they both access CDDB I believe which is the best DB there is for track info. WMP is pretty horrible for anything that isn't a readily available commercial product, and is really bad for any singles (usually listing track 1, then any other tracks are unnamed).

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm...I always liked WMP. You could try the Zune software. It seems to do a good job, and seems to have album art/info for the stuff I have that isn't commercial at all (like my brother's band which was totally self published).

Sorry, I meant to lump Zune software in with WMP. Unfortunately there are a lot of singles (my wife has every Madonna single ever made) that have multiple versions of the songs (different dance remixes or whatever). In WMP / ZUNE these only list the first song, then the remaining 2-10 depending on the CD come up as Unknown Track XX. This is due to the database that MS uses for their MP3 info which doesn't have those CDs in it.

I use Zune extensively and wouldn't use anything else. I even use its built in burning feature and I have several others, including Nero 8 Ultra. Once the music starts, it has some pretty good, subtle effects that is icing on the cake.

I have used WMP a lot in the past.. but it doesn't seem to attach the album art to the actual mp3 file. It will update the album/song info, but it only seems to save the album art for use in WMP. If I copy the mp3 file to my mp3 player, the album art doesn't show up...

Oh I'm starting to dig the fact that with Foobar you can really customize it, so I'd highly recommend giving it a shot.

I'd also keep an eye on musikCube.

http://www.musikcube.com/

There is suppose to be a new version coming mC2, http://code.google.com/p/musikcube/

Also wxMusik is in the realms of lightweight like musikCube.

http://musik.berlios.de/

I can't remember which is a spin off of the other, but they are pretty similar, also wxMusik is suppose to have a new version coming Nov., they mention on their site.
