Best multimedia Video Card

Looking for the best multimedia card for web design . Using Windows 98SE , P3 800 , 30GB HD , 21 inch monitor. Will need video in . What about ATI All in Wonder 128 32 MB , Matrox Marvel G400 TV ? What others would you suggest ? My brain is aching from all the reviews I've read . They all have their pros and cons . I like to hear from other individuals and users of these products .

The Matrox Marvel G400 has MUCH better video in quality and actually has hardware compression. The ATi stuff has okay video in quality, but does all of the compression in software only. This means that the ATi will drop frames more often than the Matrox. It also means that to not drop frames the ATi has to be set at much lower quality than the Matrox.

Secondly the Matrox will have much better 2D performance and quality. The ATi is good, but not as good.

If you will not be using it for 3d gaming, the Matrox is the much better solution.

As Sephiroth_IX has already suggested, I would be considering the newest entry by ATI in this category, the All-in-Wonder Radeon. 2D performance is top notch as always, with analog video input via S-VHS and Composite. 3D performance has shown itself to be fairly on par with a DDR GeForce2 GTS. Retail price is expected around $329 USD.

The G450 will not have the video input as far as I am aware.

Also the Matrox will be a bit less than the Radeon all-in-wonder.
