Best multimedia laptop - Please help :)

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, so please don't be too harsh! 🙂

I currently have a HP Pavilion DV7-3180us, I live in UK but always buy laptops from USA as they tend to have slighter higher specs and are cheaper.

Basically I'm looking to buy a high end multimedia laptop, as powerful as possible. The following specs I'm looking for:
17" 1080p screen
Blu ray
Intel i7 processor
High end graphics card, maybe new 600 series Nvidia GeForce?
1TB or larger hard drive

I've short listed the following laptops so far:
Qosmio X775-3DV80 - Ugly design?

Sony VAIO VPC-F237FX/B - Is there a better Sony out there better suited to my needs?

Dell XPS 17 - This model has been out for a while?

If there are any top end multimedia laptops due out soon, I don't mind waiting. Is the current high end technology going to be super seeded very soon?

Any help will greatly appreciated! 🙂
 
The real next gen gpus haven't come out yet. They are just rebadges right now so it doesn't matter if something's been out for awhile or if they don't have a 600 series gpu.

Ivy Bridge is due out in April although it's not a guarantee there'll be great laptops with it right away.

XPS 17 is regarded a good machine and comes with 555m, which is a step up from the 540m in the Sony.

You can also check out xoticpc. They have much more powerful gpus than the 555m but those are behemoths at 1lb heavier than the xps 17. There's also the Dell Precision m6600 that's rather light for a powerhouse 17" laptop. It can be configured with the 6970m equivalent workstation gpu, which is more powerful than the 570m. It's extremely expensive unless you get a refurb from dell outlet during a sale.
