Best multifunction printer/scanner/copier/fax under $1000

My uncle is looking for a new multifunction device - he's had his other one since 94, and wants it to last at least 4 years. I recommended HP because I've had good luck with their printers and one friend's HP worked pretty good. But there are a lot of models, not to mention other manufacturers out there..getting the best deal isn't key, just a lot of cool stuff & good print quality

I've heard good stuff about the d-145 for about 400 bucks, its a MFC, it does double sided printing. I don't know however if HP is phasing these out with the new 6000 series?

HP! Hp has a lot of good printing/scanning products. I've hear their all in ones do a really good job too.

Also, make sure to get a laserjet one otherwise it takes forever. Remember to check prices before you buy because that online store is usually $100 or $200 higher than a local store.

Epson CX3200, $150 - $20 MIR - $25 Gift Card = $105 @ compUSA. Thats what I got to replace the two faulty HP PSC750's Ive gotten. The Epson works flawlessly (knock on wood). At this price, your uncle can get 7-8 of em.
