Best MPEG encoder for reducing file size?

I have a video capturer but it captures video at too large of a file size. Say a 180 / * of 17 seconds is 50 megs. I'm looking for a encoder or input capture that saves things nicely at a decent size. thanks

Try going to VCD Help's website or Doom 9.
