Because I'm too lazy to do movie research. I still have yet to see Inglourious Basterds but I think it's about godamn time.

Taken was probably the best I've seen recently.

Inglorious Bastards for best overall IMO. Star Trek, Zombieland, The Wrestler (Don't remember release date), Up all get nods.

Inglourious Basterds and Up were my favorites this year, with Star Trek and District 9 very close behind. As for 2008, The Dark Knight tops my list, followed closely by Wall-E and In Bruges.

Really? I'm surprised so many people are mentioning this. The trailer looks corny as hell.

It was a Tarantino flick so it's corny but in his unique way. Knows when to pull you along and when to throw in a good chuckle.

Wall-E was my favorite of the past 2 years. I also like Star Trek, Dark Knight, Taken, and Valkyrie.

Well I'm not a Quentin fan, so I have little reason to trust the movie to be good. I don't really like any of this other movies and think he's a terrible director. Even worse actor.

The Limits of Control was a good flick and best "movie" I've seen lately.

As for the regular popcorn munching Hollywood stuff, I think I enjoyed watching Star Trek the most.

You can't just post that and not say it.

That's what he does. It's probably some foreign movie he thinks only he has seen and only he can possibly understand.
Ever wonder what it would be like if Arcadio had a brother? Now you know.
It's called psuedo-intellectualism.

Law Abiding Citizen was also a fantastic film. Up until the end, which I thought was a trainwreck.
