for it's time, i really enjoyed my everglide

but now that i've moved on to optical, most ANY surface is the best mousepad!

It really depends on whether you have an optical mouse or ball mouse. With an optical, I find a typical cloth type pad is just fine.

I agree. With the optical mouse, it feels and moves much better on cloth than plastic. If you're using a ball mouse however, it's better if it's plastic.

my optical mouse does not work well with my mirror mouse pad. or glass, either. i like the cloth idea.

My vote is for my Belkin cloth type pad with the built in wrist gel thing. (This carpal tunnel thing is for real)

i have an optical and prefer the everglide (haven't tried the others like it.. got the everglide cheap.. can't see spending over $10 for a mousepad after seeing this wear down from my usage). I like the feel

The ratpadz is great for a standard mouse. However it was too sensitive with my optical.

I have optical, and still use ratpad for two reasons;

-Size matters!

-Cloth pads wear out too fast!
