I've had my Intellimouse Explorer for about 4 months or so, and have always used it on my desk which is very smooth and nonreflective. I didn't like the confinement of a mouse pad with such a big mouse. So anyways my mouse is stating to wear through the finish on my desk and I think I might need a mousepad. So is there a really big and really smooth mousepad anyone could recommend for use with an optical mouse, or perhaps a type of fabric I could just staplegun to the desk? My girly is pretty good at making clothes so she could do a good job. Any recomendations on fabric or padding material?
Thanks

Ratpadz.com
I have tried a ton of pads/surfaces and it is the best.
Hope it helps.

I just tape construction paper on my desk for my explorer, works like a charm, change of colors every week! and I can jot stuff down on it!

Black Everglide Large Attack Pad. Desktop works just as well, but doesn't have that smooth, silky feeling. :)

Mmmmmm.... Silky......

No mousepad at all! My MS Intellimouse Optical would skip on my Dell mousepad. I ditched the pad and the mouse hasn't skipped yet :D

You what I think might be the ultimate Pad?
A big thin plastic sheet covered with Teflon.
