Whats the best mouse pad out there for optical mice that offers little to no resistance? I used to have an everglide but it got screwy with the optical mice. 3M precise drags too much.
I use the 3M Precise with the MS Explorer (dark gray) mouse. I had to clean the crap out of it so I removed the little glide feet to get to the screws. A side effect is that it moves much faster with the glide feet removed.
I got a Logitech optical wheel mouse, and I'm happy with my rectangle Verbatim mousepad. I don't think that opticals require any special mousepad, just about any will do.
Mouse pads are really down to personal taste,I use the cheap Allsop blue raindrops mouse pad(cloth type),it`s also washable and excellent for me in gaming, some people use their desk surface without mouse pads but on mine the reflective surface of my desktop is bad for my optical mouse.
Althought it is true that optical mice do not need mouse-pads, using an optical mouse designed mouse-pad optimizes performance.
That is especially for gaming purposes.
