the one i bought from compUSA just ain't cutting it anymore. so i'm lookin to buy one of these pro-gamer mousepads, so i question, which is the better mousepad:

-the func 1030

or

-the ratpadz gs?

(price not being a factor)

Honestly all the "aftermarket" mouse pads feel about the same. Just get a nice big one with smoothed edges and you're good to go.

i use a ratpadz and like it a lot...don't know about making you better at games, but the mouse seems to glide smoother than just on the desk

this is hilarious. you want a mousepad for a specific game....i really can't put into words how gay that sounds.

ive heard good things about ratpadz, but nothing on those lian-li aluminum mouse pads. not sure if this will boost your game, what you should do is humble yourself by getting really shotty parts, getting really good at the game, and then upgrade. then you will be better than ever.

I like my black Everglide Giganta that I bought a year or 2 ago... before their "optical" versions came out. Worked great with my balled mice and now works great with my neutered mice.
Mouse pads DO make a difference (especially with balled mice)... you just have to be pretty good at gaming to notice them.

I'd say go with a RatpadzGS or a func..... I personally use a Ratpadz with my MX700 mouse, and my mouse glides along the surface smoother than any desk I've ever used (I always use wooden desks that have varnish on them, so they aren't very slick).

You'd have to test some out, they're all different in some aspect.... I used to use a mousepad a friend gave me from his work place (a Xerox distributor) and it worked great on my old ball mouse.. but once I went optical, the design on it screwed with the optics and would make the mouse skip around on me.

Ratpadz. Nice gliding action. Though your feet of your mouse might sand down to nothing if you press too hard.

Any mousepad works OK for CS (and anything else for that matter). I found that a 5 button mouse with scroll helps though (being able to map fire, special function, jump, squat, and reload on it is convenient)
