That's my favorite mouse ever. Been using it 4 years (broke almost 3 years in and MS sent me a new one). It doesn't seem popular though; it fit my hand like a glove though. I suggest going into a store with a bunch of mouses out and finding the one that fits your hand best. Especially in regards to the thumb buttons.

I want to upgrade but my MX518 is still running like a champ. So look into Logitech MX518 if you want old school. But the new G series seem to be doing well.

What you want to look for is OMRON switches (japan if you can) for durability and right feel.
