A system built around the A7A266 or Iwill KA266-R would be an excellent office/general gaming system. The ALI boards offer very good performance and excellent stability after some minor tweaking. If you want the best performing DDR board then at this time (until the KT266 is out in mass) you need to go with a AMD761 based board. All of the suppliers (Gigabyte, Asus, Epox, MSI, DFI, Biostar, Aopen, FIC,etc.) offer good boards. It depends on what you require in a system (overclocking, multiplier/voltage adjustments, etc.) and how you are going to use the system. Although unless you turned on the FPS counters it is very difficult to notice any difference between the AMD/ALI/VIA DDR systems right now. If you are a hardcore gamer then buy a AMD based system or wait for the KT266 to mature, if not the ALI would work just fine. The initial opinions of the AMD boards are the MSI, Asus, FIC, and Epox all offer excellent performance with all but the Asus offering multiplier adjustments, however the Asus is an excellent FSB overclocking board.
