Ok dudes I finally shorted my list down to two motherboards it is now between a Asrock M3A790GXH and a Asus M4A785TD-V EVO here are the motherboards in questions:

Asrock- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160994
Asus- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169532

Ok I have two question and I am sure you guys and gyals can answer them very easy:

1) At first I was leaning towards the Asrock cause the chipset is better seeing that it?s a 790gx and the Asus has a 785g chipset, but I read in one of the customer reviews that he had to update the bios which kind of put me off the asrock motherboard cause this is my first ever build, so which motherboard do you think will be the most easy to work with for a first build?
2) That leads me onto my other question which motherboard do you think will be the better choice for overclocking the CPU (Athlon II X4 620 2.6ghz), the IGP and the memory? I plan on buying memory that?s tested to run at 1600ghz

Please feel free to suggest other motherboards that you may think are better suited for my needs. The only thing I must mention is that I am in the UK so some motherboards might not be available over here and the motherboards price must be under £100.

Thanks James

The ASRock looks the best: SB750, Realtek audio, 3 PCI-E, faster GPU clock speed (although it isn't the 4xxx series like the 785). Flashing the BIOS is usually just as simple as downloading the new BIOS, putting it on a FAT/FAT32 flash-drive, booting into the BIOS and updating it from there. As long as you have reliable electricity, you shouldn't have a problem.

The Asus Evo with what looks to be 8+2 power (w/FET cooling) is probably your best bet for OC'ing.

Ok I think I know what I want to do I am going to go with the Asus motherboard because I think it will be the best motherboard for a new builder such as myself and the Asus seems to have better reviews than the Asrock motherboard.

Also I have seen a video on YouTube where the guy is running the same asus motherboard I am thinking of getting and with only the IGP he is able to make the new batman game run pretty with I have played that game on a PS3 and I cant tell the difference. Ok I will admit he has overclocked his motherboard IGP core 900 MHz :), but still pretty cool, and I reckon the Asus motherboard will be the better all round overclocker.

Thanks James
