The nForce2 "ultra" mobos (i.e., 400 MHz) appeared to "generally" have stability problems when running "good" memory with strict timings AND a 400 MHz bus. Is there at least 1 mobo that has a reputation for being able to hit a 200 MHz bus while at the same time being able to run strict memory timings?

Thanks for any input/opinions:)

This will appear to be a biased opinion, but the NF7-S Rev. 2.0 has an excellent reputation for running at/over 200MHz FSB with very fast timings. I can personally attest to this. :)

I would also say Abit NF7-S , BUT the upadted Abit board is the AN7 , newegg.com just got them in. Its kinda a update to the NF7-S, so should be as good or better.

Agreed, but with the current pricing on the NF7-S I'd go for it over the AN7 right now.

That price is killing me, I bought mine USED for $100 a few months ago. :(

But I've enjoyed the board while I've had it, I guess it was worth the extra $10. :)
