Shoes for Crews

Honest to goodness! Friend of mine turned me onto these one day, especially since he works in food service, and he just absolutely swears by these shoes. So I bought myself a pair a few years back, and they're still going! I use them every single day and the dumb things just will not wear out! They look almost as good today as the first day out of the box. Most comfortable, most durable shoe I've ever worn! Shoes rarely last me more than 6 months. These are going on 3 years and they're still like brand new!

Anyone else ever tried these shoes before? I personally love them. In fact I'm ordering another pair sometime this week. Not that I need it, but I'd like to have another pair around for that day when this pair finally gives up the ghost.

For those who haven't tried them, trust me, you have no idea what you're missing out on. Get a pair and try them. 🙂

If they can put up with being nearly killed daily in kitchens, factories, etc. without so much as a scratch on them, I doubt many of you could kill them very easily. 😀
 
prices are pretty good.

i always buy Florsheim Comfortechs. $100.00 a pair but very comfortable. not durable tho.

 
durable is one thing. for comfort, you will never beat mephistos. this isn't a joke, go into any shoestore that carries them and ask about them, you will be treated with utmost respect because you know good shoes (of course, it doesn't hurt that they're in the $300-$400 range)
 
You should hear what my orthopedic dr. says about mephistos. He says they're deliberately built without support so that they're comfortable when first put on, but that they'll ruin your feet unless you have super-strong feet. He hates that they're marketed to people with foot problems.

that surprises me, that's the first negative thing i've ever heard about mephistos, & i know several doctors that swear by them. i have flat feet (which i'd never consider super-strong), and i remember staying on my feet all day before i discovered mephistos and feeling how much they hurt, but after wearing them my feet are always the last to give out on me. i'll take what you said into consideration, though, and ask around for other opinions if mephistos are really that bad .
 
Born (r) are the best and most comfortable shoes EVER. They are english imports. OMG they are comfortable. Finally dress shoes I can run in. 🙂
 
I like my skechers, plus the gel insoles...I am on my feet usually about 10 hours a day I dont have any complaints
 
Yes, they are both very comfortable and very durable. Otherwise I wouldn't be wearing the pair I have now. I figure in another year (that'll make 3 years total) I'll need to replace them at which point in time I'll be buying another pair of shoes from Shoes for Crews. 🙂

I hate having to buy new shoes every 6 months. So this is the best thing for me in every way.
