I game a lot...I hear CRT's are better in many aspects for gaming thus far...

the price difference is crazy so I would like to know before I purchase anything...

Yes there is a certain amount of truth to that but if you get an LCD with 8ms delay time or less then you will never see a ghosting problem

My LG 'L1980Q' 19inch 8ms TFT is lush, but the colours are only 6 bit i think, well the colours are not as true as my old CRT anyway, but still it looks amazing.

The thing i like the most .. hmm .. the size OMG the CRT took up half my desk . this takes up minimal space and has near same performance. It has one dead pixel but that is only near the start button (thank god) and you can hardly see it.

What is your budget? What screen size are you aiming for? What sort of video card do you have and are you expecting gaming?

I've seen more than one fool buy a nice 21" 1600x1200 LCD and expect gaming wonders on a cheap video card because they already spent all thier money on the panel.

Don't buy CRTs on ebay...

and if you can afford $300 CPUs and $400 video cards you should be entertaining this because it will certainly hold its value you more than the rest of your system.

After gaming on a friends 20inch LCD for a few hours, WHY are you still living in the year 1996. Get an LCD! (Cheap, more screensize per $, Dell 2005FPW only $334)

First of all, that deal ended, second of all, CRTs own LCDs for the time being.
