Looking for a good monitor at 200$ or less, 150ish area would be even better. Main use is for real estate. It won't need to have high end gaming, most I play is UT2004 and Joint Operations, and some L4D2 through a M8600GT (the bottleneck obviously). I want it so I can pull out spreadsheets and do my ERD diagrams ect on a large screen while having tv or videos or chats on my 17" laptop screen. I'd like to hit 22" or 24", 22" probably being the most realistic for the space I have. Just looking to get the best I can afford for mainstream use :).

Thank you a lot AT :).

I like the monitor but the reliability of the recent ones scares me a bit o_O

Yeah for now budget wise I think I'll have to wait a few more weeks. I'm just watching the sales channels. But I'll be glad to keep hearing the recommendations.

So far I really like the recommendations. That was the Samsung I was wanting DigitalJack, but I couldn't get the price at the time. Though I may wait another paycheck or two and spring for that one instead.

If you are willing to spend a bit more, I highly recommend the Dell 2209WA. Arguably the best 22" screen available right now because it uses IPS panel. I got mine for under $230 shipped.

OP, good often does not equal cheap. Get the Dell if it comes down in price but remember to consider the native resolution of the device driving the monitor. I run a Dell Precision M90 with a NR of 1920x1200. That extra 120 vertical pixels is great but pricey ... and there are MUCH fewer monitors made with that NR.

^ What size monitor? The 2209WA is 22" 1680x1050 native resolution. 1920x1200 is a common resolution for 24" monitors. Are you perhaps referring to the Dell 24" IPS?
