I'll put a vote in for the Diamondback's 9th inning comeback against Mariano Rivera in game 7 of the '01 World Series. Kinda one of those personal favs as it began the downfall of the Yankees.

When Marty Mornhinweg was coaching the Lions and decided to take the wind instead of the ball in overtime against the Bears. How I miss the Moronweg era. 😉

I was at that game. That was my personal best moment, but not the best moment.

Steinbrenner's gonna get a heartattack if his Yanks don't win it this year. New York is has been cursed. Their hockey team and their baseball team has the highest payrolls in their respective leagues yet they just can't pull it together. The Knicks, they suck now. Their football team hasn't been all that great either.

The greatest moment in sports has gotta be MJ's fifty point performance at Madison Square Garden after only playing five games since his first retirement.

seriously ...

Sox coming back from 0-3 to win the World Series (never losing another game)
will NEVER be rivaled.

David Ortiz will be like Zeus in 50 years

Well, we can't all write "The Miracle on Ice", else this would be one short boring thread.

You're trying to tell me that New York is the cursed city? Sorry, you've got to extend your scope beyond a few measley seasons!!!

Only joy we have in Chicago is knowing that atleast we're a better sports city than Cleveland.

What's funny is all the bandwagon fans say it was Johnny Damon's performance that helped them. Damon did good, but man, without Ortiz they never would have beat the Yanks. Period.

I'd have to say the personal choice for me, in my short lifetime, is definitely the BoSox winning it all last year. I honestly didn't think my dad would be alive when it happened, hell I wasn't sure I'd even be alive. I couldn't calm down for a good 10-15 mins after the final ground out. When it was hit, I stood up, just waiting for an error or something to happen, but somehow the ball stayed in his glove and he made the toss.

:tear;

When I came back from losing the first set 6-0, and down 0-30 on my serve, 4-5 in the second set to defeat the same guy who beaten me the year before 6-0, 6-0 in an intramural college tournament. 😀
