Yeah I played the original Half-Life, System Shock 2, Unreal Tournament, Quake 2 and original Deus Ex on Windows 98 in the late 90's with a Rendition Verite V2200 8MB graphics card and Aureal Vortex sound card all on Windows 98 SE running either Direct X 5, 6, 7.

Windows 98 SE was the first OS to support USB devices!

I think you mean that Win98SE was the first MS Windows OS to support USB Mass Storage devices like USB flash drives, out-of-the-box. Win95 OSR2 with USB Supplement was the first MS OS to support USB.
