The best motherboard out of this bunch for speed and overclocking. I plan to OC a 3000+ Venice as high as I can.

Updated, sorry about the links before, I figured people would judge based on the name and I was wanting them to click the links so they can see the actual board.

There are posts about folks having to reduce the FSB over time. Could be over voltage damage...not sure. The safe bet is to keep your Vcore around 1.5V and FSB between 250 and 260MHz.

If you get the C= DFI read the threads @ the street concerning memory, also raid issues. I have that board and love it, but I'm also using pata non raided.

If The DFI is the NF3Ultra with AGP then I definitely retract my statement cause that Mobo sucks with OCing

I jst RMA'd mine for a full refund because:
It was picky on RAM and would not go to 1T
DFI contacted me stating the Board needed reworked
SATA ports would not allow RAID 0+1
The Mobo Undervolted
HT @ 5x200 was not possible.
I received mine from the 1st batch and do not know if things have been corrected but Here is more info

I read reviews for the Asus, the MSI and the DFI and according to reviews non of them are very good at it.

What reviews are you reading? Every motherboard roundup I've read picks the MSI as the fastest and best overclocker. Most of the motherboard review sites out there gave their gold/editor's pick awards to the MSI K8N NEO2.

It's easily a better overclocker than any of the VIA options. I'm not sure how it performs against the DFI NF3 board, though.

I cant remember where I read that at, but I did read it. But I supose I will take your word for it and get the MSI. Since the very very small ammount of votes lean that way. I wish more people would vote/.

Dividers dont hurt that bad with the A64, it wont be as good as 1:1 but since the mem controller overclocks with the cpu it will still be better than stock. Just stick with 3200 and run as tight timings as possible, upgrade it later if it really bugs you. By the way, I have the Neo2, been very happy with it other than a few headaches at the start, but it had just came out and has since gotten better with every bios update. Dual core support too if you go that way down the road.

Normally I would not ask such stupid questions, but this my first time dealing with a 64.
