I'm would like to know more about motherboard manufacturers' user manual quality as far as explanation of bios settings, jumper selections, etc. Also, what's available from the various companies to report errors in post... some use "beeps", some use LED, and I believe I read some use voice.
I've been using a Chaintech VNF4 and it seems like it's crapped out, but I'm not sure. This is the second board from them and I've about decided that if that's the problem I'll bite the bullet and go with something else.
Apparently there are several quality manufacturers around with reasonable prices. In light of this, I'm in search of the board with the easiest to understand diagnostics scheme and the best or most complete users manual. IMHO the Chaintech sucks in this area.
I'm not into OC'ing, don't need SLI. In search of a stable system.
The rest of the story:
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
PCIE 6600 video
Antec 450W PSU
2x512 Corsair VS
