Hi guys,
Please suggest me the best motherboard for socket 754 Athlon 64. Is nForce3 250Gb is better than VIA's K8T800 chipset?? I'm basically looking for Asus or MSI mobo.

I can see two models of Asus on newegg......namely K8V-X and K8N which are cut down versions of K8V SE Deluxe and K8N-E Deluxe. How are these models. I don't require kinda IEEE ports and all those stuffs...!!

I am running Asus k8n (non deluxe version). It is stable and smooth. The only pity is that my a64 3000+ can only be oced to 2.2ghz. I don't know if this is due to the cpu (clawhammer 2.0ghz stock, 512k, old rev) or the mobo. But K8N does have PCI and AGP lock, good for oc. I love it.
It seems that most people like DFI though. For those DFI fans, could you please explain a little bit why you prefer DFI more than K8N ? like to know, thanks.

Well, I never used that DFI board, but DFI generally makes top notch MB's. Stable out of the box, and they seems have fewer problems than most.
As for the LANParty, the reviews say it all. Excellent OC'er while remaining unbelievably stable. Isn't that what we all want? 🙂
