I know several ppl have the asus a7n8x-e deluxe who are very happy with it and it seems to be a good OCer but the bios doesn't allow for a higher vcore then 1.85 and 17 multi? I am currently running a DFI Lanparty NFII Rev.B which i am hoping i won't have to use for this new system but it does allow a vcore of up to 2.00. I am not sure which board is the better OCer. A lot of ppl running mobile seem to be using the Abit NF7-S which also seems like a good OCer.
Basically I am looking for the best OCing board for the mobile, then features lol.

any help is always appreciated!!

*edit* I also have an MSI nForce2 Ultra 400 Socket A Mobo K7N2 Delta-ILSR in my possesion, how would htis board perform?

Yup, your current DFI board is a great oc'r and many would recommend it. I have a newer Abit F7-s and am a little bummed that I cannot raise the FSB beyond 213 and remain stable, I purposefully bought all components essential to going faster than that. I am in the process of switching over to a DFI NF II Ultra Infinity, as the Lan Party was too expensive for my blood.

DFI is the best as far as i can tell. my first board was a asus E deluxe, it was a POS and got RMAed

edit: i have the same DFI as you, i managed 2.5ghz max with my core but i had to use a lot of voltage to get it. core limitations. however i can get 450FSB with it and thats my max due to the 400mhz ram i have.

the DFIs are know for getting crazy FSB speeds to give a major edge in memory and cache scores.

well, apparently there's the "good" NF7-rev 2 and the "bad" NF7-rev 2. I hear you can "save" the bad version by doing a volt mod of some kind or another. But who knows...

hmmm a volt mod?

see I am running my DFI in this "main" system with a 3200+ and I don't really want to mess with it and take it apart especially to find out that I couldn't go very far witht his baord and have to put it back lol, so far everyone has said dfi

My personal experience and favor goes to the epox 8rda...I don't have access to high multipliers, but I don't need em, and my overclocks so far have been beastly :D

i tryed 3 different nforce2 boards
my favorite was the abit nf7-s
the dfi was alright but the craftsmanship wasn't as good as abit's imo
the dfi board looks really cool tho and has a good bios
the asus board i would only recommend if you aren't gonna overclock much, i think epox falls into this category too
abit's newest nforce2 board is also alright too (has cool overclocking stuff) but some don't like the layout

lol wow everyone is all over the place on this topic but it can't be that it is going to come down to preference when buying this board?! It has to come down to performance and quality.
I am curious about Soulkeeper's comment about the lanparty quality not being as good as abits? that would mean the abit is one hella nice board since the dfi is the best quality baord i have come across from layout to materials

good catch
but the bios does have more memory tweaking options than 90% of boards out there and that was one thing i liked
lotsa options

i remember that board's bios corrupting on me too... haha
