Best Mobo for OCing A64 3200 Winchester?

I'm planning on upgrading to the A64 socket 939 3200 Winchester Processor by the end of the year. So far I'm considering the Asus A8V Dlx or the MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. I'm a huge Asus fan, but I've hear good things about the MSI's OC'ing abilities. I don't feel like waiting for PCI-E support for AMD, unless its comming out within a month.

If anyone could offer some insight I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Could someone tell me if there is a AGP/PCI lock on the Asus? Also are the SATA controllers locked as well?

Also, I've read on other boards there is a Rev 2 of this board. Does anyone know if the one carried by Newegg is the Rev 2?

All the non-WiFi versions are revision 2. It locks PCI, AGP and all SATA ports, not like the K8N Neo2.

just because only the 3/4 sata's are locked on neo2 is not a reason to go with the asus. the neo2 is already a majority consensus as the best performance 939 board. again, particulary for oc'ing. Plus it looks nice 😉 the asus looks like a pig.

Chinesedemocracy: Hi! Whats this about rev 2 only comes out with the non wifi versions? (asus s939 a8v deluxe) Could I get a confirmation about this? I was almost set to order this board, but got scared now if it doesnt have a working agp/pci lock.

I am by the way going for geil value ram, and a winchester 3200.

Regards, Steffen
