I just ordered a mobile barton 2400+ from new egg and was wondering which motherboard would be easily used for overclocking. The price is not a big issue, but I it'd be nice to get the best bang for the buck.

Abit NF7-S (my personal favorite), Asus A7N8X Deluxe are the most recommended. The Abit AN7 may be a possibility, but early boards were buggy and couldn't OC well.

The DFI Infinity and LanPary motherboards are getting really popular as the best overclocking motherboard (FSB speeds of 250+ seem to be relatively common). I just ordered one over the weekend to replace my 8RDA+ 1.2 which can't go past 200FSB so I can test the limits of my 2500+.

ABIT is my company of choice at the moment. ASUS has been too hit and miss from some of my friends experiences and what Ive gleaned off the boards.

i think the only problem with the an7 board was early sample boards had a cut trace on them (it wasn't needed i suppose)
now you can't see the cut trace

the layout is also kinda weird on the an7
but it looks like the best choice for the topend overclocker
