Hello,

I am searching for the best mobo to OC my water-cooled i7-4770k, it's a gaming rig.

I have a MSI GD-65 Gaming but it is just bad for it, I can't push the CPU above 3.7 without crashing... Did the tests and it's really the bad board.

My budget is 150-250 CAD.

Just going to put this out there...your single 760 is not being bottle-necked by the cpu in any fashion, so with that in mind what features are you interested in...better audio, dual lan, firewire...etc.

Almost every z87 board is within 100mhz of each other, so it really comes down to choice of options and/or board preference.

Well I have a 760 and a HX1050 PSU. Those two things don't fit together. I am planning to SLI/Xfire much more powerful cards in the near future. I also want to use my CPU to it's full potential. With the DG65 there is a lot that goes to waste.

its not the G65 thats bad - it's YOUR G65 thats bad. i have the cheaper G43 and i can get 4.4, so get a RMA.

or, go for a gigabyte - n1 OC brand.

Yeah, there's something wrong if you can't get above 3.7 with that board. If indeed it is the board and not some other problem. But if you can't get above 3.7, how did you manage 4.1 like your sig says?

I decided to give it another try, I am doing a stress test to see how it goes. It seems to be holding well, temps stays around 51C, 99% load. I did nothing to the mobo and looks like it's fine, weird.
