Best mobo for i7-875K ?

Just purchased an i7-875K at microcenter for a cool $199.99 =). Been reading up quite a bit on it and it seems that certain bios settings are needed to fully take advantage of the unlocked multiplier on - settings that are only available in some bios's.

Question is this: are there any budget mobos (~$100) that are particularly well suited to the i7-875Ks unlocked multiplier?

Thanks in advance!!

I think it was a price mistake, but they are honoring it today so head to your nearest microcenter =) As soon as I saw it I left work and bought mine. I should have bought 20!

OMG unlocked intel cpu @ 199....

>.<

Microcenter is causing madness on the tech world.
There is no way the guys outside of the US are gonna not rant about this.

If you ask me, id go with a gigabyte series... or a high end eVGA.

Great purchase! Do they really sell 875K for $199? That's hell of a bargain.

It was listed online for my "local" store this morning. Need one Aigo or Lopri? If they are still on sale, I can pick one up, just let me know.

Thank you for the offer. I think I'll check out a MicroCenter myself. (have one in ~15 mins distance) It's very tempting indeed.

But I just upgraded my CPU (955 to 1090) and I've been very satisfied with its performance and thermal characteristics - thought I'd be set until Sandy Bridge or Bulldozer arrive. Then again, my "work" system is getting long in the tooth and I'm spending less and less time on it... I think it's time to dump it but for an i7 build I'll still needs a mobo + DDR3 + and likely a new HSF so it's not an easy decision to make.

Wow, that's a great deal. I was just looking at Microcenter and they don't list it online here in MN, but I did see an open box 920 for $135! If I had some way to justify it to the wife, I'd be all over that!

I ordered an 875k with that board today - what's the chance that it is a revision 2 one, and not revision 1? I only realised on closer inspection after purchasing that there was a version 1 after checking Gigabytes website, and I'm worried the BIOS might not support the new chip :S Would it still boot anyway, and allow me to install windows (and then update if necessary)?

if you go i7 Xeon and need some cheap ram, LMK. I have 3x1GB ECC you can have.
