I am looking at getting a dual core AMD 64 x2 4400+.

I want to get as much performance as I can from the memory and mobo. I will need 4 gigs of ram as well. This will be used for simulation modeling.

Can anyone recommend a good mobo. I was looking at Asus a8n-e since I don't need SLI.

Any other recommendations out there?

Thanks,
Marc

If you're going to overclock then get the DFI LanParty, else get the A8N-E but you lose out on the firewire.

The A8N-E has a very good RAM compatibility, and in the longer term, its stability will be more valuable than extreme OCing.

I have an X2 4400+, A8N-E, and 2GB of RAM on order... I hope it's as good as you guys have been saying. :p
