quite a few sites have liked the msi kt4 ultra (all variants, the fanciest being the FISR version which has integrated gigabit ethernet, 6channel audio, serial-ata and ide RAID, usb 2.0, and firewire. little prcier than most boards, but for all the stuff included on the board i dont see why that would matter. i'm running the kt4 ultra right, and one of my friends just bouht the FISR version and loves it. he's running an AXP 1600 @1800 (200x9.0) and its rock solid, if i ever get around to unlocking mine i will do the same.

if you look at the kt4 in that page you listed the only major cons were a "sleazy bios" and board layout. first, i've got no problems with the "sleazy bios", i find it to be powerful and easy to use. fsb, multiplier, vcore, vdimm, vagp, all dram timings, agp timings... its all there. secondly, the board is a little cluttered, but with so much integrated on the board, its difficult to get every connector in the "perfect place."

that said, i dont want to take anything from the soyo board. its a solid performer and you wont be disappointed it, but i think you might also give the msi board a looksee.

got mine about three weeks ago fresh off the ups truck at my 'puter parts supplier along with xp2400, 512mb corsair 3200ddr, dragon9 hsf, wd1200jb, radeon 9700pro and a thermaltake xaser 5000a plus box to stuff it in. (previously i had the gear in a antec server). running winxp pro, i've had no problems in the last couple weeks, (sorry, no benchies yet) except for the 4-in-1 drivers the mobo came with. it seems the drivers did'nt care too much to be loaded in turbo mode along with the performance optimized bios. it ran a little flakey and software installs came up with alerts that i've never seen before. i've got it running stable enough to start oc'ing soonest, other than that and the fact that this board looks it fell face-down from the top of the tallest ugly tree it's been running sweet.....and fast :)

edit: sorry, forgot to mention as of a week ago it's been running in raid-0 with twin jb's.

My setup is similiar. Can't afford to buy too many boards just to test, but expecting a gigabyte kt 400 in two more weeks. will test this cpu in it. see thread " soyo kt 400 worth the wait" thread in MOBOs forum for benches for this board on 1600+ and "anyone got 2400+ running yet" in CPUs forum for benches on same board with 2400+.
