Best mobile music machine to get?

I've got about 10 GIGS of music that I'd love to put elsewhere other than my hard drive, especially since I seem to be burning CD's all the time when I'd much rather just be hooking up a device to my car.

What's good? Decent battery life and such? Is the IPOD the way to go?

You can't really go wrong with an ipod, imho. Several other routes, as well.
