I'm going to a big party this weekend and am going to take a few items with me, are there any "local" bars that have specialty drinks that can easily be re-created?

example:
margarita:
3oz 1800
1.5 oz Cointreau
1.5 oz Grand Marnier
3 oz Sour Mix
.5 oz lime

Alabama Slammer -

shot of sloe gin
shot of amaretto
shot of southern comfort
6 oz of orange juice

For a more "smooth" drink, replace orange juice with pineapple juice.

minus the amaretto for a sloe comfortable screw.

Kamikaze

1 oz triple sec
1 oz vodka
1 oz lime juice

repeated shots of 5 o'clock vodka will guarantee a state of drunkeness in no time. plus it's cheap. my choice for all drinking occasions.

raspberry kamikaze

1 part chambord
1 part vodka
1 part sour mix

please, when using sour mix, don't buy that bottled crap. make it fresh, it's cheaper and easy. use fresh limes and lemons and sugar water.

Irish car bomb:
half a pint of guinness in a pint glass
1 shot glass (half Bailey's irish creme, half Jameson Irish whiskey)
drop the shot in the guinness and chug it as fast as you can (its really a LOT better if you chug it, trust me).

Bull Sh1t:
1 can of RedBull in a pint glass
1 shot of Jaegermeister
drop the shot in the Redbull (turning it brown, hence the name), and chug it as fast as you can.

Fuzzy Navel (pint glass version):
fill halfway with ice
2 shots of DeKuyper Peach Schnapps
2 shots of Peach Brandy (you can substitute 2 more shots of peach schnapps, but then its a lot sweeter and has a lot less kick)
fill the rest with orange juice (and stir)

Undercurrent (it's a shot, made in a martini glass):
fill the first 1/3rd with Raspberry schnapps (or any red/berry liquer: chambord works great)
fill the rest with a shaken-up mix (use a shaker with crushed ice, then pour in slowly) of quality vodka and blue curacao.
You can sip it like a martini if you want, I usually take em as shots though 🙂

I'll try to think of a couple more...

Flaming Dr. Pepper
About a cup of beer
almost 1 shot of amaretto
pour a thin layer of 151 over the amaretto shot and light on fire
drop the flaming shot in the beer and chug.

Purple Hooter
1 part vodka
1 part chambord
1 part sour mix
splash 7up

patron silver + lime 🙂

Southern Comfort + lime 😀

I made Cosmopolitans the other night for a little get-together. I used this recipe:
1 oz citrus vodka
.5 oz Triple Sec
.5 oz Rose's Lime Juice
.5 oz Cranberry juice (more if the drink is too strong)
Combine all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker, shake until cold and serve in martini glass. Garnish with lime wedge.

Kind of a girly-looking drink but everyone liked them.

DrUnK:
shotglass
1/3 bottle of 151

i've tried it, and dont neccessarily recommend it

but 151 rocks for floating and lighting 😉 burns well

Ugh, burning is about all 151's good for...

tossed salad:
in a shot glass (dark colored):

1 part Frangelico
1 part chambord

rim the shot glass with hershey's chocolate syrup (make sure the person doing the shot doesn't see it).
have a person down the shot without using hands

laugh at the person who downs it.

anyone have any top shelf shooter or mixed drink recipes?
I have these bottles of water that are 325mL. They are glass and cylindrical in shape. That's going to be my "drinking glass".
please keep in mind ice as well.
