Hi there. I would like to buy a mini-keyboard (ie. without the separate numeric keypad) but most of the ones either have reduced key spacing that make them irritating to type on, or else they just suck. I bought one off eBay which looks decent and has a good layout and keyspacing, but the key action is poor. I'm not surprised though since it was dirt cheap.
What good ones are out there?
I would prefer a wired one, but will entertain the possibility of wireless. I have an Apple keyboard that works great with Macs, but this would be for a Windows 10 PC and IIRC there were some issues trying to run that Apple keyboard on Windows, so I'd just prefer a native Windows keyboard.
Also, I have a piece of scientific equipment that needs a keyboard too, but it has no wireless, so a wired keyboard would be needed for that one. Or else an RF wireless one with the USB dongle. Actually, my Windows PC doesn't have Bluetooth either, but I could get a BT dongle for it if necessary.
My main concerns are:
1) Playing nice with Windows
2) Nice key feel
3) Proper key spacing
4) US keyboard layout. No international keyboards with the short shift keys please.
Essentially I'd be happy with a standard desktop keyboard but with the numeric keypad cut off and the arrow and function keys integrated into the main keyboard area.
IOW, I want a keyboard that looks something like this...

...but with full-sized keys and better quality keys. The one linked has poor reviews for key action.
