Best MIMO router

I am FINALLY getting broadband, although it's gonna be wireless. Anyways, I need a wireless router to share it. The router will be on the second floor of the house hidden in a closet. My computer is right next to it so I'll prolly be running wired. However, my mother has her laptop (integrated wireless) set up in the basement (2 floors down). Second, my friends with wireless laptops will be coming over to be doing some CASUAL gaming (nothing to speed intense) and they'll want to go wireless. So, I've determined I want a MIMO router for under $100, or close to it. Suggestions?

Also, are firewalls standard on MIMO routers?

I didn't find Tom's guide that well. There was no decisive winners, only chips that were the best. And he reccomended pre-n crap. I don't want that stuff. I want G with MiMO, maybe i'm asking too much. anyone else?

Yes there were. The Belkin SuperG was said to be the best.

<--installed a rangemax for someone once and it sucked for what it cost.

well yes and no. The pre-N is true MIMO, so there was no clear MIMO winner. the Belkin G is pre-n and it is not MIMO (from my understanding). Even the Belkins site does not use the word MIMO on the site. So, does anyone know a TRUE G MIMO router?

Depends on your needs/wants. Personally if it were me, I'd go with the ZyXEL X-550. Not only does it have good performance, it can support 16,000 concurrent NAT sessions. Oh, and having tech support IN THE US never hurts.

DLink and Linksys with SRX is good as well. There are three different SRX models though, 400, base model, then 200. The order goes from fastest to slowest, respectively.
