I don't think there is any chain restaurant that serves the best authentic Mexican food. Taco Cabana down here is great for Tex-Mex fast food, and of course Chipotle makes bangin' burritos, but neither of those chains qualifies as real Mexican food.

A little taqueria is your best bet, but I know those don't even exist in parts of the nation. If the place advertises menudo on the front of their menu, it's a good bet you're getting authentic food.

Eh, Los Betos is a chain. They have like 200 restaraunts, and the authentic to the point that I can go across the border and get the exact same food. And yes, the serve menudo.
