Looking to buy a car from out of state and was thinking of having it shipped (that is if I can't get time off of work to go pick it up). However, I have no idea where to start looking for such a service. Any good companies? Typical costs?

I don't think I could ever buy a car without first test driving it and inspecting it myself. If I were you, I'd just fly out there and drive it back. It'll probably be cheaper too.

best thing to do is fly over there and drive it back, i have had a friend try to have one shipped from Cincinnati to Houston and it was well over 1600, so he decided to do it himself flight was 400 and expenses where around another 400 including gas so about half of having it shipped.

Put it in a big box and ship it via UPS.

Nah UPS would smash it in for sure. They didn't get the nickname United Package Smashers for nothing ;)

That would be a huge box though, and can you imagine the amount of packing peanuts needed.... :Q

Disassemble a few items and place in multiple boxes and just reassemble once the pieces get to where they need to go.
