Best method of fan control for Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe?

Howdy all.

I have an older socket 939 system built around an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe and a Athlon 64x2 4600+. I just got some GentleTyphoon 1850r/min fans in to replace the dying Antec tri-cool fans in my Antec P180b case, but I've discovered that they are rather loud. Sadly, the Asus mobo has squat for fan control in the BIOS.

I've looked at speedfan, but it lists the chasis fan RPMs as zero. I have the Typhoons connected to CPU, CHA 1, and CHA 2. I can't figure out how the heck to change the speeds / lower the power to these fans in order to quiet them down a bit.

What's the best way to control the fan speed for this motherboard / lower the RPMs of my fans? If there's not an easy / inexpensive method, I'll have to return the things. I can't tolerate loud fans. :(

I honestly think you should stop using the x2 man, let your mom use it. Get yourself a newer setup, and STOP putting money into the 939.

My mother is currently using my opteron 185 w/ an intel x25m g2 ofcourse. ^_^

Get a Lamptron fan controller. Skip the thermal/voltage monitoring types like the FC5v2 if you're on a budget. I've never had issues with noise as my fans are manually controlled and it will be at a constant speed rather than ramp up. At stock idle or load, my fan speed is 50% max and it is very silent, even with supposedly noisy fans like Noiseblocker XLP.
