I want to get 2GB of memory in a match pair.
Should I go with PC3200 with CAS 2 like the Corsair Twinx2048-3200c2pt or Mushkin's eXtreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 500 (PC 4000)?

Both come out to about $200 after MIR.

I personally would skip on both and get the OCZ. I have owned the OCZ, Mushkin, and G. Skil. The OCZ and G. SKill where my favorite.

I've had 1.5GB total of Corsair Value and none has failed on me yet, so I'd say Corsair is decent. Plus Corsair has the best compatiblity with mobos (according to some old review anyhow). Unless you plan on overclocking (your memory), there is hardly any difference (maybe 5% at max) between the CAS2 and CAS3 (or whatever). Personally I don't believe 5% justifies the difference between 'value' and 'performance'. The PC4000 would make some sort of difference from PC3200 I suppose, but probably nothing jawdropping either.

OCZ is certainly a good brand, but if you plan on overclocking, I would stay away from this 2 gig set. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227210 <-- It's default 2T anyway, and gig sticks aren't notorious overclockers. Well they're notorious - just notoriously bad.

The Titanium 2x1GB set is supposedly a great OCer, but it's around $300.

And if you get 4x512MB sticks then it's 2T.. so it's hard to overclock with 2 gigs of RAM. Gig sticks aren't very good, and 4 512 sticks run in 2T, which slows them down.

The Ti is not a good OCer. It is the industrial/corp RAM and isn't made to OC at all. It is made to be super realible.

The Plat is the enthusiust RAM, and will run at 1T.

If you are just looking for fast RAM in the 2GB range, look through this article AnandTech just did. I think the OCZ is in the part one of the article IIRC.
