Best memory management?

I have 2GB of memory on my Dell Inspirion E1705 (2ghz Duo-core).

Here's my question: What is the best way to configure my memory to make the best use of it?

Currently, Windows has created a 2gb paging file, which just doesn't sound right in my opinion. Why the hell should I have such a huge paging file when I have so much memory? Why should I have a paging file at all?

Tweak XP provides an option to "store windows in memory", that is, completely load windows into memory to minimize/eliminate paging of the operating system. Is this a good idea?

Thanks for all your help, guys.

No, in almost all cases its best to let Windows handle the pagefile. Even with 2GB of RAM you're gonna get a large pagefile, but its pretty much required but you shouldn't notice much hard drive swapping with 2GB.
